Iran Strikes Israeli Civilians in Biggest Assault to Date; 3 Dead, 140 Wounded

Iran executed its largest missile attack early Sunday, specifically targeting population centers in Israel and, alarmingly, civilians, which breaches international conflict laws.

While many missiles were intercepted by Israeli air defense systems, some still struck civilian homes and buildings in the cities of Batyam and Rehobot, located south of Tel Aviv.

Local residents had already faced multiple nights in bomb shelters due to prior missile threats.

The recent attacks resulted in a total of seven civilian deaths, which included four Arabs from the village of Tamra, east of Haifa, along with around 200 injuries.

In response, Israel persisted in targeting Iranian military sites to reduce civilian harm, focusing on military installations, nuclear sites, and energy infrastructure.

In a communication from the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), it was stated:

Recently, the IAF [Israeli Air Force] completed a significant series of intelligence-driven strikes on various locations in Tehran associated with the Iranian regime’s nuclear ambitions. The targets comprised the Iranian Defense Headquarters, the SPND Nuclear Project headquarters, and additional sites where nuclear archives were concealed as part of their pursuit of nuclear weaponry.

During its operations against Iran, the IAF also carried out a long-range strike on Yemeni Houthi military leaders and successfully identified and destroyed two enemy drones approaching from the south.
