Two judges of Iran's Supreme Court were killed when a gunman opened fire on them before he could point the gun at them.

Iranian judiciary authorities announced on Saturday that two judges in charge of espionage and terrorism cases at Tehran's Supreme Court were shot dead.
Judicial authorities identified the slain judges as moderate Shiite Muslim clerics Mohammad Moghiseh and Ali Rajini.
Judicial authorities said the assailant shot and killed himself, and one of the judges' bodyguards was injured.
The motive for the assassination is still unclear, but Justice Department spokesman Asghar Jahangir told state television that the two judges had been involved in “national security cases involving espionage and terrorism” over the years. Ta.
