Two prominent pastors said last weekend’s attack on Israel by Iran was a fulfillment of Bible prophecy and called on Christians around the world to pray for the Jewish state.
Iran launched more than 200 drones and missiles at Israel, but an estimated 99% were intercepted thanks to Israeli air defenses and a military coalition led by Israeli, US and British fighter jets.
“We are on the brink of the Gog-Magog war described in Ezekiel 38 and 39,” said Pastor John Hagee. Said Over the weekend.
Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship said in a video that he believes the attack was prophetically significant.

“I believe that Iran’s attack on Israel is a fulfillment of Bible prophecy,” Rowley said in a video posted on social media.
Laurie then explained her point of view.
“According to the Bible, the sign of the end times will be the re-gathering of the Jewish people into their homeland. That is what happened. On May 14, 1948, Israel officially became a nation.
“…Jews will not only be reunited with their homeland, but will become increasingly isolated. That’s what’s happening. The Bible also predicted the rise of anti-Semitism in the end times. That’s what’s happening. The Bible also prophesies that a great power to the north of Israel, identified as Magog in the Book of Ezekiel, will attack Israel. That has not happened yet. Many scholars believe that Magog is modern-day Russia. I believe it’s pointing.”
Ezekiel 37-38 It mentions “Magog” working with Persia against Israel.
“Persia was the name of Iran. They changed the name in 1930,” Lowry said. “So it is prophesied in the Bible that Persia or Iran will attack Israel. And guess what? That just happened. Now, what I want to say is that what just happened is Does that mean it would lead to a scenario like this? Ezekiel 38? I don’t think that’s necessarily the case. But it’s certainly a reason for us to sit up and take notice. ”
Laurie encouraged Christians to: “Let’s pray for our friends in Israel. Let’s pray for the Jewish people.”
“It is in America’s best interest to support Israel, our loyal ally,” Rowley said. “God promised Abraham many years ago, “Those who bless you I will bless.” Those who curse you I will curse.” God Blessed America One reason is because we have always supported our friend Israel, and we hope we will continue to do so.”
Hagy said he will fly to Washington, D.C., this week on behalf of Christians United for Israel to tell members of Congress to “stop shuffling papers and actually do something to help Israel.” Told.
“This should have happened a long time ago,” Hagy said of additional U.S. aid to Israel.
