Civil War Concerns Amidst Political Divide
As the divide between political ideologies deepens, there are murmurs throughout the country suggesting we might be nearing a civil war. This has left some wondering if preparation is necessary.
Is it wise to think about this, or is it just panic?
Glenn Beck has a perspective on it: perhaps it’s a bit of both.
He asserted, “We have to win the midterm elections, and we have to win in 2028.”
Recently, President Trump labeled Antifa a terrorist organization, vowing to investigate figures like George Soros related to funding leftist violence. To Glenn, this feels like a declaration of war.
“If they have a chance to fight back, they’ll definitely do it. God help us,” Glenn warned.
He stressed that Trump “needs to wipe it out” completely. He anticipates retaliation if the political climate shifts.
But, civil wars aren’t just about physical confrontations in the streets. Instead, it could materialize at the administrative level, which is already somewhat happening. “They’re obstructing the federal government from fulfilling its constitutional duties,” he noted. “This could trigger constitutional provisions on rebellion, allowing for federal actions against states.”
The fact that we even entertain the notion of civil war is telling. He remarked, “The chances of a civil war occurring are at their highest in my lifetime, mainly because so many are questioning whether this could escalate.” The actions of Democratic officials “using police against federal authorities” illustrate a worrying trend.
Glenn estimates that currently, the likelihood of civil war is around 15% to 20%. “We have clear signs that a color revolution is taking shape in America,” he mentioned.
Meanwhile, social media like X is flooded with calls for riots or looting if SNAP benefits are cut during a government shutdown.
Glenn added that many on the left seem to believe that violence is the only solution to their issues. “The numbers supporting this view are increasing, and apathy towards political violence is perhaps growing faster than the acts of violence themselves,” he observed.
However, despite these grave indicators, Glenn urges listeners to hope and pray against such a crisis.
“They are serious about this color revolution. We must strive to hold things together, to maintain peace for as long as possible, and hopefully find a better path forward,” he concluded.
