UK gym memberships are more popular than ever. And Generation Z is an important demographic that will boost numbers. Gen Z drinks less than previous generations. So why does Gen Z choose to workouts through wandering around the pub?

Helen also visits charities Niyi akinseye He works four hours a day at a gym in central London. He made friends at the gym and hopes their generation is more connected.
“I often reflect seeing people at the gym more than my mother or family, but you don’t say hello to them. You walk past them awkwardly.
“History is one of my passions outside of fitness. One of my favorite periods, for example, was the French Revolution, and many of those ideas were formed by young people who went to pubs and discussed ideas.
