It really feels like the 90s!
As everyone knows, the rivalry between Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan erupted in the early 1990s, resulting in Jordan’s Bulls overtaking Thomas’ Pistons as the best team in the NBA.
You may not remember, but that beef was sparked again. four years ago Jordan accused Thomas of being a “shithole” in the documentary The Last Dance.
After the show aired, Thomas claimed he had no idea Jordan hated him.
Years later, in 2022, Thomas demanded an apology from Jordan.
“When I was watching ‘The Last Dance’,, I’m sitting there watching it with my family and I think everything is going well,” Thomas was quoted as saying. euro hoops. (Related article: Unnecessary Hype: ‘The Next Great Thing’ Victor Wembaneyama Is Perfectly Posted by Trayce Jackson-Davis)
“And then this guy comes on TV and says he hates me, and then calls me an asshole. Then I keep watching a whole documentary about him being a hell of a person. Wait a minute, it’s like time out.”
“Until I publicly apologize, this beef is going to last a long time because I’m from the west side of Chicago.”
Fast forward to 2024 and Thomas still wants an apology.
“This guy went on national TV and international TV and called me an asshole,” Thomas told Golden State Warriors superstar Draymond Green on his podcast. “Someone who was really good to him.”
“And we won’t have a conversation until he apologizes on international television. You can’t apologize or have a private dinner when he’s embarrassed me in public.” If you didn’t mean it, say it publicly. If you meant it, leave it at that. I’m fine with that.”

I think it’s safe to say that these two will be going strong even in their graves in true ’90s NBA style.
