Israel Conducts Airstrikes Against Houthis After Attack on Israeli Airport

On Monday, Israel conducted an airstrike in the port city of Hodeida, Yemen, as a response to a Houthi missile attack on Israel’s major airport over the weekend.

The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) reported that almost 20 Israeli Air Force fighter jets targeted both Hodeida and concrete factories in the nearby city of Basil, dropping around 50 bombs.

The airforce specifically aimed at the port cities, which were believed to be utilized by the Houthis for transferring Iranian military supplies and other terrorist activities.

Moreover, the concrete factories were identified as significant resources for the Houthi regime, contributing to their tunnel and military infrastructure construction.

This strike followed a distressing incident at Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv on Sunday.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that Israel would continue its campaign against Islamist terrorist groups and promised direct action against the Houthis.

“We’ve engaged with them before, and we will remain active in the future,” he stated in a video shared on X.

Furthermore, the U.S. had launched its own offensive against the Houthis in March, in response to their ongoing attacks on both U.S. and commercial ships in the Red Sea.
