Israel Shouldn’t Do ‘Carpet Bombing’ and We Don’t Like Their Ground Offensive

On Wednesday’s broadcast of Bloomberg’s “Balance of Power,” Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis.) said, “Instead of the carpet bombing that we’re doing, we’re trying to capture active Hamas leaders. “It is very clear to some of us that there may be further targets to kill.” And as Israel prepares for a ground offensive in Rafah, he said, “We are now very concerned that the people of Rafah are completely stranded.”

“Well, I’ll tell you, I think our president really said the quiet parts out loud,” Moore said. And we are very concerned that Prime Minister Netanyahu continues to boast about the fact that he is not listening to us. It is very clear to some of us that there could be further targets to capture and kill the leaders of Rafah. We are now very concerned that the people of Rafah have absolutely nowhere to go. But again, Israel is an ally of ours, and the opportunity to offer those terms hasn’t presented itself yet. I don’t think many people think it’s appropriate to have that conversation.”
