The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out airstrikes against the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen on Sunday, the second time since July after the rebels fired several ballistic missiles at Israel in recent days. This resulted in an airstrike.
The IDF said in a statement:
Today (Sunday), during a large-scale intelligence-based air operation, dozens of IAF aircraft, including fighter jets, tanker planes, and intelligence aircraft, descended on the Houthi terrorist regime in Ras Isa and Hodeidah districts. attacked military targets belonging to it. Yemen. Targets included military supplies and oil, as well as power plants used by the Houthi terror regime to move Iranian weapons into the region and ports used to import oil.
The airstrikes were carried out in response to recent attacks on the state of Israel by the Houthis.
Over the past year, the Houthis have been working with Iraqi militias, under direction and funding from Iran, to attack the State of Israel, undermine regional stability, and disrupt global freedom of navigation.
The IDF is determined to continue operating at all distances, near and far, against all threats to the Israeli people.
One of the Houthi missiles landed near an Israeli town in Judea and Samaria, also known as the West Bank.
There were also unconfirmed reports on Sunday that a helicopter carrying Houthi leaders crashed in Iran.
