Incoming U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said Wednesday on Fox News Channel's “Jesse Watters Prime Time” that Israel will decide how to end the Middle East wars.
Guest host Kayleigh McEnany said, “I want to move on to a pretty serious topic, and that's about the Israeli ceasefire. And we know that there was a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah on Israel's northern border.'' I know. Politico Playbook says: This is the thinking of the Biden administration, and for months there has been speculation within Biden circles that one ceasefire will lead to another rooted in Hezbollah and Hamas' shared relationship with Iran, their mutual proxy and patron. It was believed that it would pave the way. Do you see a ceasefire with Hamas coming?”
“I think they're half right,” Huckabee said. “Certainly they're funded by the same source, which is the Iranian government. It is the Biden administration that has given Hamas so much that it can benefit Israel.”
He added: “Let us never forget that Hezbollah launched an attack on Israel. Israel did not attack them. They attacked Israel on October 8, the day after the massacre on the outskirts of Gaza. The old reality is, Kaylee, if you start a war with me, you fight. I may start a war, but I choose how to end it. Not Iran, not the United Nations, not France, not America, but Israel. Israel will decide how this ends.”
