The Israeli military said the attack on Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin was a joint covert operation carried out by the army, Shin Bet security forces and border police, the paper noted.
The military said one of those killed was Mohammad Walid Jaramuna, a Hamas member who had been planning attacks like the one on October 7, and two others were members of the Jenin Brigades in Basel. The Israeli military told Reuters the trio were hiding in a hospital, calling it a “cynical example of terrorist organizations using civilian areas and hospitals as shelters and human shields.”
