Israeli Rappers Banned from U.S. Over Anti-Terror Song

Israeli rap duo Ness & Stila are arrested in Miami, Florida over false accusations that their hit song “Harv Darv” supports Israel’s war on terror and promotes “genocide.” He was reportedly denied a visa to perform in the United States.

As Breitbart News reported in November, the song was written in response to the October 7 terrorist attacks and captures the spirit of a nation mobilized for war. It condemns Hamas and Hezbollah and the celebrities who support them.

Breitbart News says:

The song has been popular since its release in Israel, demonstrating the strong support the Israeli military enjoys among the population. The chorus checks the names of nearly every major force in the IDF: “Golani, Nahal, Sirion.” [armor]Jivati, Navy, Air Force, Artillery, Airborne Forces” and many more.

The song also makes specific reference to the victims of the October 7 terrorist attacks, hinting at revenge, including naming a child victim in a shell being dropped on Hamas in Gaza.

The pair of men, Stila, includes a Biblical reference, referring to Hamas terrorists: Bnei Amalek (“Sons of Amalek”), an allusion to the Book of Deuteronomy cited by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, referring to an evil group that must be destroyed.

The song is also a diss track, calling out certain terrorist leaders, as well as “Bella Hadid, Dua Lipa, and Mia Khalifa,” celebrities who have supported the Palestinian cause and Hamas, especially against Israel. .

Adult actress Mia Khalifa, who celebrated the Hamas terrorist attack, complained that the song was a “call to genocide.” However, there is nothing in the song’s lyrics or style that expresses genocide.

The song is militant in that it celebrates the shooting of a terrorist (not a civilian), but in that respect it is no different from thousands of hip-hop songs and videos that regularly feature lyrics about firearms, self-defense, and turf wars. .

Jewish News Syndicate report Sthira and Ness were reportedly refused entry into the country because of the lyrics of “Harbu Darbu.”

Four Israeli artists were forced to cancel concerts in the United States this week after being denied visas over objections to their hit songs, Israel’s Channel 12 News reported over the weekend.

Sources close to Mr. Ness and Mr. Stilla said that U.S. “official authorities” gave the impression that the lyrics were at the root of the decision.

Last year, Israel joined the US Visa Waiver Program, allowing Israeli citizens to travel to the US for 90 days without a visa. However, performers require separate visas, and the U.S. government can arbitrarily deny permission to perform to these artists.

“Harbu Darbu” became a number one hit in Israel and sparked its own viral video trend. It is not considered controversial.
