Noem Critiques Newsom’s Warning

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has expressed her frustration with California Governor Gavin Newsom following a recent online post that she described as “really majestic.” Noem revealed that her family and friends were immediately concerned once they saw the post over the weekend.

“It was inexplicable and truly majestic,” Noem shared during an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity” on Monday.

She continued to explain how quickly her loved ones began to panic. “I started receiving texts and calls right away. My kids were asking, ‘Are you okay, Mom? Are you okay?’ They understood the nature of the threats I face,” she recounted.

Kristi Noem stated, “Kristi Noem will have a bad day today. You are welcome, America,” indicating her disbelief at the situation. “It was really maddening and quickly put my family and friends into a state of worry,” she mentioned.

Noem highlighted that she has been aware of threats coming from “cartels and criminals” since she implemented immigration policies from the Trump administration.

“This is the world we live in, where words have consequences,” she remarked, referencing the experiences of individuals like Charlie Kirk. “We hope to learn from this and coexist peacefully.”

She concluded by emphasizing the importance of listening and fostering civic discourse, urging against irresponsible posts like Newsom’s.

In a related development, Bill Essayri, a U.S. lawyer for the Central District of California, has taken Newsom’s post to the Secret Service, expressing concerns about a potential threat. “There is zero tolerance for direct or implied threats to government officials,” he stated, noting that they requested a full threat assessment.
