‘It Ends with Us’ star smacks NY Times with $250M fake news suit

When the New York Times calls “Woke” movies are outdatedyou can see that you've made progress.

Another sign? A new Netflix roast packed with the most disturbing gags possible. The soon-to-be former president might say he's not kidding.

A far-left comedian whose comedy trailer boasts that his special is about “history” says he is putting people at risk.

“Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year” debuted on the streamer just a few days ago, and the response was… muted to say the least.

There are no hashtag campaigns targeting Netflix or assembled comics. No media outlets covered the article calling for an apology tour TM for the perpetrators.

It's not for lack of effort. The special poked fun at Bruce Willis' dementia, Lizzo's calorie counting, and, most shocking of all, the death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. The latter (courtesy of Tim Dillon) turned out to be peculiarly tasteless.

So where is the anger? All this reporter could find in good faith was a Google News search that attempted to Blake Lively mention causes panic.

Decider.com squealed, “Netflix's Comedy Roast comes under fire for an ill-timed 'C-word' joke about Blake Lively.” Newsflash: It's not 2020 anymore (thankfully)…

Chappelle moans

Add Michelle Buteau to the list of comedians who tell their peers what they can and can't say.

The star of “Michel Buteau: A Buteauful Mind,” just released on Netflix, takes aim at Dave Chappelle in a one-hour special. Fair enough, and to use leftist terminology, it's certainly a punch-up.

What she said is a bit creepy.

Buteau criticized Chappelle for making jokes about the trans community. That's not new either. The Left has been doing just that since Chappelle's 2021 special “Closer” debuted.

Except she suggested Chappelle. put people at risk.

“Dave, that's not funny, it's dangerous. … Make it funny. I can't believe there are people who make millions of dollars making people feel unsafe. Really, that's so wild to me. .”

A far-left comedian whose comedy trailer boasts that his special is about “her story” says he's putting people at risk.

Cue the rolling eyes.

I'm sure she thinks we should defund the police, embrace Soros-backed prosecutors, and keep everything at Walgreens behind bulletproof glass.

It's a mystery why Donald Trump will return to the White House later this month…

Hollywood stars rarely criticize each other.

They are part of a unique community where jobs are scarce and opportunities dry up after one box office failure. It's a cruel business, and it helps explain why so many people keep secrets about their co-workers.

Except in the case of Chevrolet Chase.

The cast of Chase's old show “Community” A little love for a comedy legend. And he won't be appearing in the upcoming “Community” revival movie.

Although Chase's reputation was ahead of him, the production team of “Saturday Night” invited him for a sneak peek of the film anyway. The film recalls the chaotic 90 minutes behind the first episode of “SNL” back in 1975.

So what did Chase think of the film, which stars actor Cory Michael Smith as his younger self? “Saturday Night” directed by Jason Reitman He shares his reactions on the podcast “Fly on the Wall.”

“[Chase] “Afterwards, he came up to me and he tapped me on the shoulder and said, 'Well, you should be embarrassed,'” Reitman recalled to hosts Dana Carvey and David Spade.

Was it a total bargain? Was it simply Chevrolet fooling the director with Chevrolet? Reitman can't say for sure. It's worth adding that Smith's portrayal of Chase is…complicated in this film. Chase's ego is on full display, but it also shows that he's a top-notch talent.

The bottom line? Never invite Chase to a movie premiere. It's better to be safe than sorry…

Blake Ribery?

The new year is still very new, but the most dramatic story has already begun.

Late last year, actress Blake Lively accused Justin Baldoni, her co-star and director of the movie Seraph of the End, of sexual harassment. Team Baldoni fights backis said to have promised a countersuit to protect his name and set the record straight.

now, Baldoni sues New York Times He claims the platform is misreporting legal information.

According to Variety, the $250 million lawsuit is for “defamation and false invasion of privacy over a Dec. 21 article titled 'Anyone Can Bury': Inside Hollywood's Slander Machine.” ”.

The white-haired old woman shot back, saying Team Baldoni “didn't point out anything wrong with” the work in question.

stay tuned. No matter how this plays out, it's going to be a great, fact-based movie.
