It is a great time to be a baseball fan in the state of Texas

It’s hard to believe that something like this has never happened before.

Until 2023, Texas would not have two professional teams in America’s four major sports win titles in consecutive seasons. To be clear, this is only possible in a sense because there is only one NHL team in the state, but it has been possible for quite some time between football, basketball, and baseball.

As an Astros fan myself, I enjoyed hearing Clemens talk about receiving videos of guys like Hunter Brown and Justin Verlander working on things. Interestingly, when we spoke, Clemens wanted to talk a lot about football, and how much he believed in the Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott. My worlds rarely intersect like this, so big shout out to his blog the boys. So I appreciated the opportunity to talk about various sports with one of the greatest pitchers of all time.

Clemens joined me to talk about the Cologuard Classic by Exact Sciences, a PGA Tour Tournament of Champions being held this weekend (March 8-10) at La Paloma Country Club in Tucson, Arizona. I joined the group. This event regularly draws him one of the strongest fields of PGA Tour champions, but the tournament is not just about golf. Its mission is to raise awareness about the importance of colon cancer screening and recognizing those affected by colon cancer. It also helps kick off National Colon Cancer Awareness Month in March.

Thank you Clemens and Cologuard.
