Exclusive: Chairman Jim Jordan told FOX News Digital that the FBI has refused to brief the House Judiciary Committee on Iranian hacking of the Trump campaign and other important issues, and that the American people will not be informed by Election Day. He said he had the right to receive.
Jordan (R-Ohio) said in an exclusive interview with FOX News Digital that he and his committee are seeking information about Iran's hacking of the Trump campaign and whether the former president and his team were subject to wrongdoing. He said he is requesting a press conference in a non-classified environment to obtain information about the situation. I received an explanation from the defense regarding this matter.
The FBI told Fox News Digital it is committed to working with the committee, but did not say whether or when the agency would brief Jordan.
“This Iranian hack of the Trump campaign — it appears there were documents about J.D. Vance — that ended up in the Harris campaign and somehow ended up in the news by chance,” Jordan said. Ta. “There are a lot of questions, like when did they learn about this? How did they know about this? Did they give Trump a defense conference? Who was the person in the Harris campaign who got the information? How did you get the information? When did you say you had the information? How was the information reported?”

“Those are just questions that popped into my head,” Jordan said.
“It makes no sense. If everything were reversed and the Iranians hacked the Harris campaign and the documents about Tim Walz went to the Trump campaign and then were published in the press, they would all go crazy. Because we know that,''' Jordan said. “We probably already have a special prosecutor.”

Jordan also pointed to the fact that the hack was carried out by its enemy, Iran.
“This is the same country that claims to be trying to assassinate President Trump. This is the same country that is the main sponsor of terrorism. This is the same country that wants to assassinate President Trump.” [Israeli] Prime Minister Netanyahu. And this is the same country that sent rockets into Israel, our best ally, Jordan said. ”

The Trump campaign said the documents were “intended to interfere in the 2024 election and disrupt the entire Democratic process” and were “illegally obtained from sources hostile to the United States.”

The paper said the document, sent to Politico, included a 271-page “dossier” compiled by the Trump campaign about eventual running mate Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio). The date is said to date back to February.
It included Vance's past positions on issues, statements and past criticisms of Trump in a section called “Potential Vulnerabilities.”
Meanwhile, Jordan also said the committee has other questions related to Republican presidential candidate Trump, including why the Justice Department would “offer $150,000 to someone who can do the job.” It also included whether he had made public the “reward letter'' from Ryan Routh, the second attempted assassin.'' “If Trump fails, we will run against him.
In a court filing last month, the Justice Department released Mr. Routh's letter as evidence of the Justice Department's detention memo to secure his detention.

Jordan also told Fox News Digital that he wanted information from Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who last week added the long-awaited January 6, 2021 report from the FBI. He testified that he would include details about confidential human intelligence sources and whether they were implanted. He was among the rioters during the Capitol riot.
During last week's hearing, Horowitz was asked whether he would “reveal that there were confidential sources in the Capitol” on January 6 and “how many people entered the Capitol.”

Horowitz replied, “We will put that information in the report.”
But Horowitz said his report would not be released until after Election Day.
“Well, just to be clear, it's been four years,” Jordan said. “Would you please give me that information now?”
But Jordan said, “The FBI will not participate in the committee.”
Jordan emphasized that the House Judiciary Committee is “the committee that empowers the Department of Justice.”

“They're not willing to sit down and talk to our committee. That's ridiculous,” Jordan said. “This is important information that Americans need to know before the election results are in.”
FOX News Digital revealed that representatives of the House Judiciary Committee began requesting a briefing during a September 24 telephone conversation with the FBI. The committee then had two clarification calls with the FBI on September 25th, a phone call with the Department of Justice on October 1st, and two clarifications with the FBI on October 1st.

Committee representatives also left a voicemail with the FBI on Oct. 1 asking for clarification, and called the agency again on Oct. 2, the people said.
An FBI spokesperson told Fox News Digital that the agency “continues to cooperate with the committee in responding to its requests, and we have provided numerous documents and briefings.” .
“The FBI recognizes the importance of Congressional oversight and remains committed to cooperating with the committee in good faith,” an FBI spokesperson said.
But that cooperation does not meet Jordan's demands, the Chair said, warning that all options are on the table.

“We have issued more than 100 subpoenas this Congress, and as I said, every option is available to try to get the information that we think the American people have a right to know before they make their election decisions. It's on the table. It's very important,” Jordan told FOX News Digital.
“I have important questions about important issues that affect our country and one of our major candidates for political office,” he said. “Just to be sure, please explain. Please answer my questions.”
