It wouldn’t shock me if Comey was attempting to incite a coup or insurrection.

Rep. James Comer Speaks on James Comey’s Role

During a segment on FNC’s “Hornity” on Friday, Rep. James Comer (R-KY) expressed a low opinion of former FBI Director James Comey. He suggested that he could see the situation as either a “simple mistake” or something more intentional, possibly hinting at an effort to incite a coup or rebellion.

Fill-in host Jason Chaffetz asked, “What do you think when you see this? Do you think this means that the former FBI director didn’t know what Donald Trump was clearly number 47?”

Comer responded, stating, “My opinion on Comey is very bad. I’m not sure I can give a fair and balanced answer to that.” He mentioned that the investigation involved mistakes and dishonesty, which deeply affected his confidence in Comey’s integrity.

“I have such a low level of confidence in James Comey that while I could believe he made a simple mistake, if it turned out to be intentional, it wouldn’t surprise me at all,” he continued. He referenced Jamie Raskin’s comments about a potential coup or riot, attributing it to a loss of confidence in Trump’s achievements regarding border security.
