Georgia's top election official believes half of the state's voters will have already cast their ballots by Election Day.
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger told Fox News Digital late Tuesday afternoon that more than 1 in 4 of the state's residents had voted at that time.
“It's huge. Almost every day is a record-breaker,” he told Fox News Digital. “If you look at the turnout from day to day…we'll probably have close to 4 million early voters by the end of next Friday.”
“I think this is a sign that voters trust our system here in Georgia,” he said.

As of Wednesday afternoon, more than 2 million people in Georgia had cast early or absentee ballots.
Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Trump's campaigns have both spent significant time and resources in Georgia, where the former president lost less than 1% in 2020.
Early voting there will take place from October 15th to November 1st.
Raffensperger's interview came about an hour before the Georgia Supreme Court ruled against a Republican proposal to reinstate a series of new ballot security measures ahead of Election Day. I was disappointed.
