Stephen King, novelist, Hollywood producer and outspoken supporter of President Joe Biden, took to social media on Monday to tell the octogenarian that it’s time for him to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race.
The message King sent to his more than 7 million followers on X (formerly Twitter) was simple and to the point.
The billionaire leftist said: “Joe Biden has been a great president, but for the sake of the America he clearly loves, it’s time for him to announce that he will not run for reelection.”

Biden, 81, has faced repeated calls to withdraw from the US electoral race after his widely mocked performance in a debate with Republican front-runner Donald Trump.
The Shining Author King, a longtime and vocal supporter of Biden’s Democratic Party, appears poised to join the raucous chorus just 24 hours after fellow Hollywood veteran Rob Reiner joined the group.
“It’s time for Joe Biden to step down,” Reiner declared Sunday, Breitbart News reported.

He announced his dramatic change of heart in a post on X, saying that if Trump wins “we lose our democracy.”
The actor and director did not say whether he wanted Biden to give up reelection or leave the White House, or both, but his feelings were clear for the world to see.
