J.K. Rowling Criticizes Trans TikToker for 'Crossing Women's Boundaries' by Taking Bathroom Selfies at Disney World

Controversy Surrounds Trans Influencer at Disney World

Author J.K. Rowling has recently criticized a transgender influencer, Lily Lily, describing the individual as a “scary creep” for reportedly “violating women’s boundaries” in a Disney World restroom. This incident has sparked outrage among female Disney attendees, leading some to call for a ban on such influencers in the park.

Rowling expressed her concerns in a post on social media, accusing the influencer of using the bathroom to take selfies and capture moments inappropriately. She wrote, “The photo of this man’s bathroom is a trophy. He wants to be in the background with women and girls as he proves he’s violating the boundaries of women.”

The influencer, known for sharing videos and commentary about their experience, defended taking selfies in public restrooms, arguing that many people, including celebrities, do similar things. In a response to criticism, Lily suggested that the double standard applicants to trans women complicates the issue, saying, “If you pass, that means you won’t see trance.”

Lily lamented what is referred to as “Passing Privilege,” mentioning that not all trans women can achieve this. The influencer asserted that all should be allowed to take such pictures, no matter their identity. However, it seems that the influencer also revels in the drama surrounding the situation.

In another video, Lily remarked on the conservative nature of Florida, saying, “I really don’t know what the bathroom deal is.” They appear to be unsure about the rules governing who can use women’s restrooms.

Reports indicate that videos and photos taken inside women’s restrooms by the influencer have led to consideration of legal action from some female Disney patrons. Despite the growing controversy, Disney has not yet released any statement on the matter.

The situation has escalated, as Lily faces civil lawsuits related to privacy violations for recording in restrooms. Florida Law 810.145 prohibits videotaping in these spaces without consent, potentially leading to serious legal consequences. Additionally, there’s also legislation that mandates individuals to use facilities corresponding to their biological sex, though it’s unclear how this applies in the case of Disney World.

This isn’t the first instance where the influencer has caused controversy at Disney. Just last month, Lily expressed feeling unsafe after being misgendered by restaurant staff, further complicating their experience at the park.

Last year, Lily also created a stir at Disneyland with content that many found inappropriate, raising concerns over their conduct around families and young children.
