Jack Daniel’s Backs Away from ‘Woke’ Agenda, Joining Other U.S. Companies

Whiskey giant Jack Daniel’s is taking a major step back from left-leaning policies, according to its parent company, Brown-Forman.

In a social media post on Wednesday, reporter Robbie Starbuck said His team was trying to expose Jack Daniel’s, but “we must have tipped them off because we were looking at employee LinkedIn pages.”

He said the company announced some big changes “up front,” including:

• End your participation in @HRC [Human Rights Campaign’s] Corporate equality index social credit system.

• Executive and employee bonuses/goals will be tied to business performance, not DEI.

• End of quantitative workforce and supplier diversity targets.

• Cut back on waking training.

In its post, Starbucks shared an email from Brown-Forman, noting that he and his team have several folders related to Jack Daniel’s.

Similarly, in June, Tractor Supply backed away from left-leaning policies after customer feedback and a Starbucks team investigated the matter, Breitbart News reported at the time.

He said company officials “responded with the most dramatic policy reversal I’ve ever seen. This is a major victory for sanity and the biggest boycott victory of our lifetimes.”

According to Fox News, Starbucks also Exposure John Deere and Harley-Davidson also backed away from awareness-raising efforts on social issues.

He told the outlet that Brown-Forman hosts its own drag shows and promotes all kinds of sexual identities that its customer base does not agree with.

“It was a very smart move on their part to get ahead of this issue before it was in the media for three weeks,” he said.

In April 2023, Jack Daniel’s faced calls for a boycott over its 2021 ad campaign that featured drag queens, after which one fan of the whiskey company accused it of being “woke,” taking their product from his pub, pouring whiskey into a brazier and yelling, “Fuck woke companies,” before setting it on fire.

Social media users responded to Starbucks’ recent post, with one person writing: write“Wow, that’s amazing. They’re totally destroying corporate DEI programs. This problem seemed insurmountable, but they’re a paper tiger and when it counts, they put profits before appearances. That’s how it should be.”
