Jake Paul at the Olympics: Support for Fiancée and Controversial Comments
Jake Paul is currently in Italy, taking part in the Olympics while also cheering on his fiancée, Jutta Lierdam, a speed skater.
While in Italy, Paul watched an Olympic hockey match alongside Vice President J.D. Vance. However, he expressed some worries about ICE officers and dedicated part of his weekend to defending them.
“If you don’t like ICE, you can’t call 911 when you’re in trouble. If you don’t respect law enforcement officers, you shouldn’t call them,” he shared on X.
Later, Paul directed criticism at Billie Eilish after her Grammy acceptance speech, in which she advocated for illegal immigrants. He remarked, “I promise it won’t be too bad if Billie Eyelash gets her house broken into.” Eilish had noted, “No one lives illegally on stolen land” during her address.
Further stirring the pot, Paul reacted to comments made by Olympic skier Hunter Hess, who stated he had mixed feelings about wearing the American colors. Paul replied, “Wow, shut up. From all true Americans. If you don’t want to represent this country, go live somewhere else.”
Paul attended the U.S. women’s hockey game versus Finland, where the American team triumphed 5-0. His fiancée is set to compete in the 1,000 meters on Monday, aiming to improve on her silver medal from Beijing four years ago, where she also earned the title of seven-time world champion.
