Jalin Hyatt Prepares for a Crucial Season
Giants receiver Jalin Hyatt is gearing up for what could be a defining year in his career.
As he enters his third season in the NFL, Hyatt is focused on enhancing his skills.
Last season proved challenging; he logged just eight receptions on 19 targets, his lowest involvement to date. This has pushed him down to the fourth spot on the depth chart. Yet, he seems unfazed on the first day of training camp.
“For me, it’s just about running and being consistent,” he shared. “I’m not too worried about the rotation.”
Hyatt emphasized that, apart from consistency, improving his physicality is key. He’s been working on building strength to enhance his catching ability and blocking skills.
While the receiver coach has an essential role in developing younger players, Hyatt recognizes the significance of his connection with veteran quarterback Russell Wilson.
Wilson spoke highly of him, expressing confidence in Hyatt’s potential: “He was a high draft pick, and he’s incredibly talented. I believe he will truly shine for us. He hasn’t fully realized his capabilities yet, but our communication has improved significantly during the offseason.”
Hyatt finds himself in a young but experienced receiver group, and he feels optimistic about their prospects for the upcoming season.
“I think we can achieve great things in this receiver room,” he remarked. “We just need to go out there and prove it.”
A key focus for Hyatt is fostering mutual success among the receivers. He believes that when one of them excels, the whole group gets energized.
Amidst his goals, Hyatt is eager to score his first career touchdown. He already has a celebration in mind: “Point to the sky, bless the man, the Lord.”
