Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz are back on set after a turbulent year.
The stars were photographed returning to Atlanta on Saturday for the movie “Back in Action.”
According to sources, Fox and Diaz were preparing to film a scene in which they jump out of a van and crash into a building.
People magazine reported that Fox is “very quiet” and “just focused on work,” according to a source at the outlet.

Fox and Diaz began filming Back in Action in late 2022 and continued through 2023 until Fox suffered “complications” that halted production.
In April, the 56-year-old was hospitalized for undisclosed health issues. His daughter Colin Fox said on social media: “Fortunately, thanks to quick action and great care, he is already on the road to recovery.”

“We know how much he is loved and appreciate your prayers. The family requests that their privacy be respected during this time.”
Details were sparse and there was speculation about Fox's condition, but Corinne denied some rumors in an update in May, writing on her Instagram Story at the time: “My dad has been out of the hospital for a few weeks recuperating. ', denying the report. The family was preparing for “the worst.”

“He was actually playing pickleball yesterday! Thank you everyone for your prayers and support!” she continued.
In July, Foxx broke her silence with an Instagram post.

“I can't even begin to tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back. I experienced things I thought I would never experience. I did,” he told fans.
He also said that he had not updated his fans with the latest information because he “didn't want to see me like that.”

“I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, telling jokes, and appearing in movies and TV shows,” the Oscar winner said.
“I didn't want to see her lose her tubes and wonder if she was going to survive.”

Ms Fox denied rumors that she was blind or paralyzed, but admitted she had been “to hell and back”.
“There have been some holes in my road to recovery, but I'm back and I'm able to work,” he said.

In December, the “Ray” star gave his first public speech to accept the Vanguard Award at the Film Critics Choice Association's Film & Television Awards: A Celebration of Black, Latino and AAPI Achievement. He was candid and cautious about his condition over the past year.
“It feels good to be here. I'm making every moment count now. It's different now. … I wouldn't wish what I went through on my worst enemy,” he said. “Because it’s hard… when the end is near.”

“I had to do a little bit of work in Chicago to make things right. My sister and daughter were so great about not letting anyone know what happened. And… All I can say is you need someone like that in your corner,'' he said of his family. “No one knew where I was. No one knew what was going on. And I had to go to this facility to get some exercise.”
Diaz worked on the film while Fox was dealing with his health.

According to People magazine's sources, production resumed filming the day after Foxx was hospitalized, “with a stand-in for Foxx on set.”
“Back in Action” is the third film co-starring Foxx and Diaz, and also marks Diaz's return to acting after his early retirement.

The pair first starred in 1999's Any Given Sunday, and then appeared in 2014's Annie, Diaz's last completed project before announcing her retirement in 2018.

Fox happily announced that Diaz would be returning to X (then Twitter) in 2022, and brought in Tom Brady to coach her out of her “non-retirement” status.

She responded on Instagram: “Jamie Foxx, only you can get me back in action!!! I can't wait, it's going to be so much fun.”

Despite the positive mood surrounding Back in Action's announcement, there were also rumors that Fox was “crazy and everything was dire” on set.
There were even rumors that the actress would never film again “because of him.”

Diaz addressed the allegations on the Lipstick on the Rim podcast in December.
“It was a lot of fun. Jamie is the best,” Diaz said. “I love that guy. He’s such a special person, so talented, so much fun.
“Jamie is like a cheerleader for the entire crew and everyone loves him,” she added. “We have a lot of fun on set with him. He is a true professional on every level.”
The 50-year-old said he had some “hiccups” during filming, but blamed it on “natural events.”

She went on to say, “There was no delay other than obviously nearing the end, which, you know, it's not my place to talk about.” She was referring to Fox's health.
Diaz said on the podcast that Foxx is “fine” and revealed that she wished rumors about his behavior on set had been put to rest sooner.
“He's very classy. … He was like, 'No, leave me alone,'” she said.
