Actress Jamie Lee Curtis has come under fire for comparing the fire-ravaged Los Angeles suburb of Pacific Palisades to Gaza.

Speaking about the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles, Curtis said it resembled “war-torn” Gaza.
“I was born and raised in the City of Angels, and the entire City of Angels is burning everywhere. The entire city of Pacific Palisades has disappeared.” halloween the star said
“Literally, my neighborhood is gone. My house tonight is still there, but I live in a different canyon. But unfortunately, the entire Pacific Palisades is now Gaza, Or it looks like one of those war-torn countries where something terrible has happened,” Curtis added.
Many people took to social media to slam Curtis' comparison.
The entire residential area of Pacific Palisades was burnt down. The fire that burned the famous area is known as the Palisades Fire.
As of Saturday morning, the Palisades Fire had burned 22,660 acres and was 11% contained.
More than 5,000 structures are believed to have been destroyed so far.
Flames began descending on the Mandeville Canyon and Brentwood neighborhoods Friday evening. Brentwood has a population of 65,126.
Santa Ana winds are expected to pick up even more on Saturday.
