Actress Jane Fonda endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president on climate and environmental issues on Monday, in the wake of the economic collapse.
“Today, I am proud to endorse Kamala Harris as the next president of the United States, not only because Donald Trump would be a complete disaster for our democracy and our planet, but because she is the right person for the office,” Fonda said as the stock market plummeted.

“During her time as vice president, she helped lead the strongest climate and environmental administration in recent memory,” the actress continued. “I believe in Kamala’s track record of putting planet and people above corporate greed.”
“And I trust she will fight to protect our democracy, our rights, and a livable future,” Fonda added.

While Fonda rambled on about “now being the right time”, Japan’s stock market panicked and suffered its worst one-day sell-off in history, a bigger drop than “Black Monday” in October 1987, driven in part by fears of a looming recession due to the policies of US Presidents Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
