Jane Seymour feels that age is merely a number when it comes to love. In a recent chat with a magazine, she shared her journey of rediscovering romance in her 70s after going through four marriages. About two years ago, she crossed paths with John Zambetti, an emergency room doctor and musician, whom she describes as “amazingly wonderful.”
Seymour confessed that, at this point in her life, she didn’t think it was possible to find a healthy and loving relationship. “Honestly, I never thought I would find a truly committed, healthy, wonderful, loving relationship at this point in my life, but I’m incredibly happy that I did,” she revealed.
The actress, known for her role in “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman,” remarked, “70 is the new 50,” expressing her newfound happiness. She feels fortunate to have met Zambetti after each had already lived fulfilling lives, with their own experiences, children, and careers. “You know what you want. I think we were both very lucky to have found each other at this time,” she reflected.
Seymour elaborated that, having experienced various life events, they both understood themselves better. “He lived a different life. His world was medicine and touring, and my world was making movies,” she noted, emphasizing that they met at just the right time.
Interestingly, when questioned about online dating, Seymour dismissed the notion, humorously adding, “It’s too complicated. You can kill a computer just by looking at it!” Instead, they were introduced by their children, which is how their love story began at a concert.
As she opened up about their relationship, Seymour mentioned that intimacy remains significant for her. “My parents’ generation, and a lot of people, reach a certain age and think, ‘That’s not part of my life anymore.’ I just think as you mature, you understand your body, you understand what feels good,” she expressed, illustrating her belief that intimacy remains vital regardless of age.
