Jarred Vanderbilt of the Lakers reveals shocking images of a severe finger injury

Jared Vanderbilt Shares Details on Finger Injury

Jared Vanderbilt has opened up about the unfortunate condition of his dislocated finger, which he sustained during a playoff game last month.

And, honestly, it’s pretty grim.

On Monday, he posted photos on his private Instagram that showed the extent of the injury – bone and blood were clearly visible after he broke his pinky finger in Game 1 against the Thunder.

In the first picture, his finger was pointed in a rather alarming direction. The second one depicted medical staff applying sterile water while they worked to treat the injury.

Fans were taken aback by the graphic nature of the images; one even commented on social media that it looked like a chicken wing.

The injury occurred while he was trying to block a shot in the second quarter of a tough loss for Los Angeles. He inadvertently hit his hand against the backboard, leading to the painful injury.

The scene was reportedly so disturbing that it even affected the Thunder’s bench.

Vanderbilt missed Games 2 and 3 of the playoff series due to illness but made a return for Game 4.

He hasn’t provided any recent updates on his recovery status, although he did look relatively fine in some other recent photos. Let’s hope that’s a good sign, not just for him but also for the Lakers and anyone who might have felt a bit queasy from the injury details.
