Jasmine Crockett describes DOGE as a ‘scam’ and a ‘cover-up’ for Elon Musk’s gain.

Texas Democrat Accuses Elon Musk of Profiting from Government Role

Jasmine Crockett, a Democrat from Texas, has publicly challenged tech billionaire Elon Musk, claiming he is exploiting his influence to benefit his businesses financially.

Crockett presented her allegations on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” stating that, in her view, the cryptocurrency Dogecoin, associated with Musk, is essentially a “fraud.” She pointed out that Congress is already investigating issues related to waste and fraud.

“It was a complete fake. It wasn’t about government efficiency,” she asserted during her appearance. “Dogecoin is just a cover-up; it’s a scam,” she emphasized, aligning her remarks with her role in the House Committee on surveillance and government reform.

She elaborated, mentioning that there were problematic motivations behind some contracts, describing them as manipulations: “They framed it as something positive, while someone focused on contracts that really benefited them.” She noted, “If this was truly about government efficiency, why did we start with a defense budget that ballooned to an astonishing $1 trillion, failing audits consecutively?”

The audience reacted positively, applauding her strong statements.

After facing a significant drop in stock market value, Musk stepped back from his Dogecoin responsibilities to focus on his businesses. Meanwhile, leftist activists are protesting against Tesla dealerships, with reports of some using aggressive tactics to oppose Musk’s supporters.

Crockett has been outspoken against Dogecoin, criticizing a proposal to refund taxpayers with savings garnered from federal spending. Interestingly, she even encouraged her birthday protesters to target Musk, as their demonstration coincided with her special day.

Video footage of her segment on “The Late Show” is available on the show’s official YouTube channel.
