Jason Kelce defends Travis’ beer chugging, meets Sauce Gardner

During a busy weekend back at his alma mater, Jason Kelce met up with one of the NFL’s best defensive players and defended his younger brother the entire time.

university The Cincinnati football team’s X account posted a photo Kelce’s Saturday afternoon with Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner was captioned, “Two eras. One program,” with a goat emoji.

Kelce, a Hall of Fame inductee who left the Eagles earlier this offseason, began playing his career-defining position (center) in Cincinnati from 2017 to 2010.

A two-time All-Pro cornerback in his first two seasons in the NFL, Gardner arrived on campus nearly a decade later and developed into an elite prospect with a dominant performance from 2019 to 2021.

Shortly after his alma mater’s post, Kelce wrote a post of his own in response to criticism of his brother Travis, a leading tight end for the Chiefs and boyfriend of pop star Taylor Swift.

Kelces co-hosts one of the most popular podcasts in the country.

They brought “New Heights” back to Cincinnati this week, where Travis, wearing a cap and gown, chugged a beer after receiving his diploma.

It was intended to look like a graduation ceremony, but it annoyed some viewers.

It’s not the same as Jason chugging beers in a luxury suite while Travis’ Chiefs play in the playoffs.

“Can you confront your brother about his weird behavior at graduation?” one commenter wrote to Jason. “It probably wasn’t the best idea to do what he did in a playoff game in Buffalo and do the same thing in college where he was kicked off the team for acting like Jack. ”

However, it turned out that the university was just teasing the Kelses by holding a mock graduation ceremony.

“I know it looks like a graduation when you watch the video,” Jason wrote. “But this was actually the end of New Heights Live, a podcast we aired to raise money for the university’s NIL. I did this to make fun of you.”

In other words, there’s no need to get cocky about Kelces.
