Jason Whitlock hasn't been silent about his distaste for Deion Sanders and the program he built at the University of Colorado Boulder.
First of all, he doesn't appreciate Dion's approach to coaching because he packages it up and wraps it up and sells it in a Christian package. There is nothing Christian about the approach.”
From “locker room rappers” and Dion's “son worship” to “his treatment of players” and “the radical materialism he promotes,” Whitlock examines Coach Prime's personal actions and his football program. I see only secularism.
Before the season started, he predicted Colorado would do poorly. But the Buffaloes are having a great season so far. They are currently 7-2.
Still, Jason is confident that “people will soon start smiling.”
“I'm going to predict – and I'm serious about this – that they'll lose two of their next three games and maybe lose all three games against Utah, Kansas State and Oklahoma State. No,” he says.
In fact, Whitlock is so confident in his hypothesis that he's willing to place a bet.
“If the Colorado Buffaloes finish better than 8-4 in the regular season, I'm going to jump into any bowl game they have, wear Colorado gear, and sit in the stands wherever it is. And Please support the Colorado Buffaloes. That's how confident I am,” he says.
But that doesn't mean Whitlock can't give credit where credit is due.
He admits that Colorado State has vastly improved from last season, contrary to his expectations.
“This team is growing, and I was wrong about the level of improvement we'd see in the second year – dead wrong,” he admitted, adding that Dion's son, Shedur, was also “first class. Quarterback,'' he added. I'm treating myself a lot better than I did a year ago. ”
Still, Whitlock reiterated that the Colorado Buffaloes “haven't improved as much as you think. We'll see that in these three games.”
