Jaden Daniels looks like he’s ready to throw an elbow over the topic of his oddly shaped throwing elbow.
A photo taken in the fall of what appears to be a golf ball-sized lump on Daniels’ right elbow went viral this week, sparking a variety of unscientific theories.
By Friday, speculation on social media had finally subsided over the likely top-three pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.
“My elbow is totally fine. Stop the cap!!” Daniels I wrote to Xadds a cap emoji and a yawning face emoji.
“Cap” is a slang term meaning a lie.
“Throwing an elbow” is a term used for fights, especially in crowded spaces.
The Journal previously asked Dr. Rais M. Jazrawi, director of sports medicine at New York University Langone Orthopedics, for his opinion on what might be behind Daniels’ elbow appearing inflamed.
“He has olecranon bursitis,” said Dr. Jazrawi, who has not examined Daniels.
Doctors described the symptoms as swelling and “sometimes pain, sometimes no pain,” and said it was treatable with cortisone injections or surgery, and that recovery would require two to three weeks of downtime. Ta.
Like nearly all top NFL prospects, Daniels underwent extensive medical testing at the NFL Combine in February.
Because information is shared across all 32 teams, serious concerns are often leaked to the media despite expectations of patient privacy.

Daniels clearly wasn’t affected by his elbow too much last season, throwing for 3,812 yards, 40 touchdowns, and just four interceptions at LSU to win the Heisman Trophy.
He is believed to be the favorite to be the commander’s No. 2 pick, but could slide into the Patriots’ No. 3 spot if Washington prefers Michigan’s JJ McCarthy or North Carolina’s Drake Maye.
At LSU’s pro day earlier this week, Daniels wore a long-sleeved sweatshirt honoring teammate Greg Brooks Jr., who was stricken with cancer.
