MILWAUKEE — Sen. J.D. Vance attended the Republican National Convention at Fiserv Forum after being nominated by former President Donald Trump to be his vice presidential running mate.
Sen. Vance, 39, (R-Ohio), shook hands with the state delegation, including Gov. Mike DeWine, upon entering, drawing shocked reactions from the crowd as the delegation prepared to formally nominate him as vice presidential candidate.
Trump, 78, was officially selected as the Republican presidential nominee just before Vance took the stage, and announced on Truth Social that he had chosen Vance as his running mate.
“JD has had a very successful business career in technology and finance and will focus his campaign on the people he has so successfully fought for and protected,” Trump wrote.
This is a developing story.
