JD Vance makes fun of Democrats for their reaction to the Sydney Sweeney American Eagle ad

Vice President JD Vance Reflects on American Eagle’s Ad Campaign

Vice President JD Vance recently shared his thoughts on the response to American Eagle’s new ad campaign featuring actress Sydney Sweeney. His comments came during a Friday appearance on the “Russless” podcast, where he noted the peculiar reaction from some Democrats.

“My political advice to the Democrats is to keep telling everyone they think Sydney Sweeney is a Nazi,” he quipped. “That seems like their actual strategy,” he continued, suggesting that such accusations are counterproductive.

American Eagle’s fall campaign, titled “Great Jeans for Sydney Sweeney,” has ignited considerable debate online. Critics from progressive circles have linked the ads to themes of racism and eugenics.

Vance remarked, “It actually reveals something pretty interesting about the Democrats.” He also joked about the quick backlash, saying, “Their course revisions lasted about 30 seconds,” before noting that many Democrats seem unable to handle even basic American life moments, such as a fashionable ad featuring a woman promoting jeans.

Later in the discussion, co-host Josh Holmes added, “Vance somehow went even more crazy after 30 seconds,” highlighting the sometimes absurd reactions from those on the left.

In a world where even simple advertising can lead to intense scrutiny, it’s fascinating—and perhaps a bit troubling—to see how cultural and political narratives intertwine.
