In his first overseas speech at the AI Action Summit in Paris, France, Vice President JD Vance vowed to maintain American domination in the artificial intelligence industry by tackling overregulation.
Vance said the Trump administration focuses on developing AI as a tool for American workers, but this development is being curtailed by excessive deficits and regulations.
“Our law keeps Big Technology, Little Technology and all other developers on equal arenas.”
“This administration will always focus on workers when developing artificial intelligence technologies,” Vance said. I said. “American workers deserve a table seat to develop new policies that will lead to higher wages, safer communities and more prosperity across our country.”
Vance also warned that overregulation of artificial intelligence would not be tolerated by the Trump administration, promoting a policy platform that “promotes the creation of AI technology rather than strangle.”
“We need to be optimistic, not fearful, especially our friends in Europe,” Vance said. I said. “The development of cutting-edge AI in the US is no coincidence. By preserving an open regulatory environment, we have encouraged American innovators to experiment and make unparalleled R&D investments.”
“This administration is unlikely to be erased by startups and graduate students who produce some of the most groundbreaking applications of artificial intelligence,” Vance added. “Instead, our laws keep Big Technology, Little Technology and all other developers on a level playing field.”
Vance argued that the importance of American domination in AI is to curb the overregulation already in place in other countries.
“The hostile foreign enemies weaponized AI software to rewrite history, serve users, and rewrite censorship speeches,” Vance said. I said.
“I want to be clear – this administration blocks such efforts and is a complete halt,” Vance added.
