Vice President-elect J.D. Vance declared Wednesday that he will “never stop fighting” for the American people following his election victory against President-elect Donald Trump.
In a post to
“And for the trust of the American people. I will never stop fighting for you,” Vance added.
“I think we've just witnessed the greatest political reversal in the history of the United States,” Vance said at President Trump's victory speech in Palm Beach, Florida, this morning.

“Following the greatest political resurgence in American history, we will lead the greatest economic resurgence in American history under the leadership of Donald Trump,” he said.
President Trump met with Mr. Vance and said, “I would like to be the first to congratulate our great (I can now say) Vice President-elect of the United States, Mr. J.D. Vance.''

With Vance set to become vice president next year, Ohioans will now need someone else to fill the Senate seat.

Initially, the Ohio governor will nominate someone to fill the hole left by Vance's vacancy. Pursuant to Ohio law, a special election will then be held to fill the remainder of Vance's term in the Senate.
