Bezos and Sanchez Celebrate Their Wedding in Style

Newlyweds certainly know how to make a splash.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, who recently wed, were spotted embracing affectionately at a star-studded afterparty in Venice, Italy, the day after their grand ceremony.

As they hopped into a water taxi for the event, the couple shared a tender kiss.

The afterparty, called The Grand Fete, features DJ Cassidy and is set in the historic Arsenel, a stunning 14th-century venue situated in the scenic Castello district.

The couple’s luxurious celebration has attracted a roster of A-list guests, from actors to tech moguls, all while ensuring their privacy and security. The venue’s unique layout makes it accessible only by boat, further heightening protection for the couple and their guests.

Originally, the event was intended to be held at the Scola Grande dela Misericordia, a former medieval school, but due to protests and security concerns, plans shifted to the new location just days before the wedding.

Prior to their big day, Bezos and Sanchez made headlines by quietly donating to various local charities in Venice as part of their wedding preparations.

Interestingly, local protests emerged criticizing Bezos, with protesters asserting that if he could afford to rent Venice, he should contribute more taxes.

Before the wedding festivities, the couple hosted a lavish welcome party at the Aman Venice hotel, which they rented in its entirety.

Bezos popped the question to Sanchez during a romantic moment in May 2023 while on a ride together.

The pair began dating in 2019, but kept their relationship private until their divorces were finalized. Sanchez was previously married to Patrick Whitesell and has two children, while Bezos shares four kids with ex-wife Mackenzie Scott.
