Epstein’s ‘Wild’ Dinners with Silicon Valley Figures
Emails released by the Justice Department reveal that Jeffrey Epstein boasted about dining with influential figures like Mark Zuckerberg, Reid Hoffman, Elon Musk, and Peter Thiel, describing the gatherings as “wild.”
In a message dated August 20, 2015, Epstein queried billionaire Tom Pritzker about a potential trip to New York. He casually mentioned, “I don’t know yet. I had dinner with Zuckerberg, Mueck, Thiel Hoffman, and Wilde.”
Details of what transpired during those dinners remain unclear. Vanity Fair first reported that Hoffman hosted a dinner in Palo Alto, California, for MIT neuroscientist Ed Boyden.
When approached for a comment, a spokesperson for Meta referred to a statement from 2019. “Mark happened to meet Epstein at a dinner honoring scientists that was not hosted by Epstein,” said Zuckerberg’s spokesman, Ben LaBolt, adding that Zuckerberg did not have any further contact with Epstein afterward.
It was also reported that Musk had a role in introducing Zuckerberg to Epstein, although Musk later denied this in an email, asserting, “I don’t remember introducing Epstein to anyone because I don’t know him well enough to do so. Epstein is clearly a weirdo and Zuckerberg is not my friend.”
Recently released emails also depict Hoffman discussing visits to Epstein’s private island and other properties, including a 2014 message indicating that Hoffman would be spending the night at Epstein’s Upper East Side townhouse.
On Sunday, Hoffman expressed regret about his association with Epstein post-conviction and emphasized the need for justice for victims. “I am committed to continuing to press for the full release of the Epstein file,” he stated.
In the correspondence, Musk discussed a possible visit to Epstein’s island but noted he never actually went there. He reiterated his position in recent posts, stressing that justice should focus on prosecuting those involved in crimes with Epstein.
Attempts to reach out to Pritzker for comments were unsuccessful, and there has been no response from Thiel’s spokesperson either.
