Hakeem Jeffries (DN.Y.), the leader of the House of Representatives, served as Chairman of the Democratic Party National Committee (DNC) on Friday, supporting Wisconsin's president Ben Wikler.
“There are several candidates of DNC Chairman who demonstrated a clear and comprehensive vision for the future of our party, but Ben Wikla is perfect for moving DNC,” he said.I mentioned in a statement shared through a Wikler X account.
“Ben's commitment for fighting for working families, reducing the diligent costs of American taxpayers and building a variety of coalitions will revitalize the base and move the swing voters in our direction. It is very important, “he continued. “He is a strategic thinker, a talented organizer, and a proven donation activity with a track record of winning a strict election on the battlefield.”
Wikler stated in X's statement that gaining the support of Jeffreies was a “deep honor.”
“Our goal is to unite this party, fight for those who work in everywhere, and win the voting up and down. In 2026, the leader Jeffreies will be the speaker of the next house.” He added.
Some other Democratic leaders have approved DNC-chair-chair, including Chuck Schumer (DN.Y.) and Nancy Peloshi (D-Calif), the Senate Lotus Party, and some other Democratic leaders. Representative James Kriberin (DS.C.) supports Ken Martin, Chairman of the Minnesota.
The approval of Jeffreies comes one day before the 448 DNC Committee members select the next leader and take over the reins from the retirement Haime Harrison. Wikler, Martin, and former Governor Maryland, Martin Omary, have obtained the most remarkable approval.
