Jelly Roll Stands Firm in Harsh Criticism of Donald Trump

Just a day after labeling President Donald Trump a “fat pig,” Jelly Roll reiterated his remarks.

During his guest hosting stint on Tuesday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” the singer faced backlash but remained unrepentant about his comments from the previous day.

“Let’s be honest for a moment. Any U.S. president ought to handle a few jokes, right?” he addressed the audience on Tuesday.

Sticking to his guns, Jelly Roll continued his critique.

“Presidents should also manage gas prices, healthcare, and the occasional international conflict, but I suppose you can’t have it all.”

Supporters of Trump were outraged when the country music artist made comments about the president’s weight and appearance.

Referencing his own 300-pound weight loss, Jelly Roll remarked, “That means I’ve lost an entire Donald Trump.”

“And let’s be real, judging by his approval ratings, it looks like most of the country feels the same way,” he added.

He even further criticized the president, saying, “From one fat pig to another, take it from me, physical fitness is really important. Trust me, you’ll want to see your penis again.”

Reaction from Trump’s supporters was swift and angry, but Jelly Roll didn’t back down when he returned to the stage Wednesday night, continuing to mock the president.

Acknowledging the backlash, he noted that many were upset “that I didn’t show the president the respect and dignity he deserves,” but he didn’t retract his statements.

Jelly Roll asserted, “But let me remind you, I go by the name Jelly Roll. I don’t really treat myself with reverence and dignity either.”

“Honestly, most were just shocked that I had any opinions at all,” he joked.

He leaned into the comments people made about him online following his critique of the president.

“They see someone who looks like me and assume I only have opinions about my preferred meth crystal or the classic type,” he said.

He even suggested to those upset by his jokes about Trump that they “should have voted for Kamala Harris, so he could make jokes about her instead.”

As social media remains lit up with Trump supporters calling Jelly Roll a “traitor,” he seems unfazed by the reaction.
