Jena Sims shares her heartbreaking experience of losing a pregnancy at 16 weeks.

Jena Sims shared on Instagram that she and her husband, champion golfer Brooks Koepka, are coping with the loss of a pregnancy. It’s been a tough experience, and she opened up about it in her post.

“At 16 weeks, we found out that the baby’s heart had stopped,” she wrote. “This is a kind of sadness that parents aren’t really prepared for. We feel devastated, but we still hope that someday we’ll give our son a sibling.”

In her post, Sims included sonogram photos and other personal images. She expressed the desire to share her experience, noting, “So many people face similar struggles in silence. There’s still much to be done to improve support for women’s reproductive health. If you’re dealing with a loss or infertility, remember you’re not alone.”

She took a moment to acknowledge the healthcare professionals who deliver such difficult news, admitting that it’s probably one of the hardest parts of their jobs.

Sims has been quite open about her journey as a mother for some time now.

The model and actress, who welcomed a son in July 2023, had discussed balancing parenthood with her husband, Koepka, who has been incredibly supportive. “We work well together and can read each other’s cues,” she noted. “If I’m feeling overwhelmed, he steps in, saying things like, ‘I’ll handle bedtime tonight.’ He helps a lot.”

Sims and Koepka, who married in June 2022 in a destination ceremony, are looking forward to trying for another child in the spring.

Last weekend, she was there supporting Koepka at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland, where he placed 15th overall at 10 under.
