Jennifer Garner attended the famous San Diego Comic-Con for the first time this year, but nearly missed her chance to get there in time because of a broken elevator.
The actress, who was there to support her cameo in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” shared a series of videos documenting the ordeal on her Instagram, captioning it, “Baby’s first Comic-Con: A short story.”
After two minutes of being trapped, Garner said, “Hey guys, we’re stuck in this elevator. Um, I want Wolverine. I want Deadpool. I want somebody.”
Another person said they were looking for the stairs, and Garner agreed, before concluding with, “Thanks for being here. My first Comic-Con. Bye!”

In the next video, Garner is seen saying at the 11-minute mark that she’s “getting hot” and “sweaty,” and joking that she “has to wipe it off.”
Forty-five minutes later, she was singing “99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall” while someone from her team called and explained that they were stuck in a “f***ing” elevator.
“We need someone, Wolverine, we need someone, Deadpool.”
At the hour mark, there were noises and beeps suggesting something was being repaired, and Garner began quietly singing Madonna’s “Like a Prayer,” a song that features prominently in Deadpool and Wolverine.
Finally, after an hour and 12 minutes, firefighters arrived and opened the door, eliciting cheers from Garner and her team.
