Jennifer Lopez is looking ahead.
According to reports, the “On the Floor” hitmaker, who turned 55 on Wednesday, is looking at the new age with a new perspective and seeing it as a “fresh start.”
The singer celebrated the milestone without her husband, Ben Affleck, as their marriage continues to be plagued by divorce rumors.
As the rumors continue, the mother of two is “doing her best to stay positive and focus on the good things in life,” the source said. He told ET.
The source added that Lopez “loves spending time on the East Coast, especially in the summer, and she loves being surrounded by her loving friends and family.”
“It’s been a tough year filled with unexpected realizations, changes and obstacles, but Jen is looking at her 55th birthday as a fresh start,” the source continued.
“She’s trying not to let her relationship with Ben get the better of her.”

The couple, who married in July 2022, were not together on their second wedding anniversary on July 16, sparking further speculation about the current status of their relationship.
Neither of them have publicly spoken about the rumors of marital troubles, but a source recently told Page Six that the rumors have been “over for months.”
While Affleck hasn’t publicly commented on his wife’s special day, Lopez shared a birthday selfie with her. Her Instagram Followers on Wednesday.
“This is me right now 🎂,” she captioned a mirror selfie of herself in a one-piece swimsuit.
The “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” songstress has been spending her summer frolicking in the Hamptons, and earlier this week celebrated her birthday with a celebratory lunch.
The singer was dining with family and friends at Arthur & Sons, an Italian restaurant in Bridgehampton.
She was accompanied by her longtime manager Benny Medina, her 16-year-old twins Max and Emme, and her sister Linda, but her husband was nowhere to be seen.
The previous day, Lopez celebrated her milestone birthday with a Bridgerton-themed soiree in the Hamptons, where guests donned ball gowns and tiaras.
Attendees, including Lopez’s mother, Guadalupe Rodriguez, and “Sex and the City” star Sarah Jessica Parker, were greeted by horse-drawn carriages at the entrance before heading inside for the lavish celebration.
