Jennifer Pedranti Addresses Wildfire Incident Involving Her Son
“The Real Housewives of Orange County” star Jennifer Pedranti recently shared her thoughts on a wildfire that burned seven acres in the hills of Southern California, revealing that her son was part of the group of minors responsible for igniting the fire.
In a statement on her Instagram Story posted Thursday, Pedranti, 49, responded to what she described as “rumors” about her family’s involvement in the fire that occurred on Tuesday in Ladera Ranch.
“He and others were involved,” Pedranti mentioned without naming which of her four sons was a minor. She emphasized the seriousness of the situation, stating, “My ex-husband and I take this matter very seriously. This behavior is unacceptable and we deeply apologize to our community. This is a tremendous learning moment for our son and our family.”
The fire began around 4:45 p.m. near Narrow Canyon Road and Acaster Way. It spread quickly due to dry vegetation, covering about seven acres before firefighters controlled it.
Fortunately, officials noted that the fire did not reach nearby homes and there were no reported injuries or significant property damage. “We are so thankful that there was no property damage and no one was hurt. The fire and police response was truly amazing and taught the boys a lesson they will never forget,” Pedranti expressed.
Following the incident, multiple minors, including Pedranti’s son, were interviewed at the scene, with the fire cause still under investigation. No arrests have been made so far.
A source indicated that, in such situations where minors start fires without causing damage, the standard procedure typically involves fire safety education over criminal charges.
Pedranti confirmed that her son would be required to take a fire safety course and face consequences at home. “Although no arrests were made, punishment for his actions has begun. He will take a fire prevention course to ensure that a mistake like this never happens again,” she noted.
She added, “It has affected our family as well, and we will make sure our son learns from this accident.”
Pedranti shares five children with ex-husband William Pedranti: sons Harrison (22), Dawson (19), Grayson (16), and Dominic (12), along with daughter Everly (14). However, she did not specify which son was involved in the incident.
Interestingly, according to reports, the family had previously lived in Ladera Ranch but moved about a year ago. The incident comes just as Pedranti gears up to return as a full-time cast member on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Orange County” for Season 20, which premieres Thursday. She joined the hit series in 2023 and is currently engaged to fiancé Ryan Boyajian.
