Jerry Seinfeld cheers on the Mets — and Israel — during NLDS clincher

Jerry Seinfeld wasn't just rooting for the Mets during Wednesday's NLDS game at Citi Field.

The world-famous comedian was approached with a request by a fellow Mets fan during the game, prompting him to pass on a message to Seinfeld, who is Jewish and supports Israel.

“Jerry, my brother is watching from the Gaza border, can I make a video for him?” an anonymous person asked in a video that went viral on social media. “He's on the Gaza border, staying up late watching.”

To which Seinfeld, sitting in a Citi Field suite-like room wearing a Mets hat and sweatshirt, responded, “Let's go to the IDF!”

This is not the first time Seinfeld has openly expressed his pro-Israel views.

Jerry Seinfeld delivered a pro-Israel message during Wednesday's Mets game.

In December 2023, Seinfeld, who worked on an Israeli kibbutz as a teenager, traveled to Gaza to meet with families of victims taken hostage by Hamas.

The 70-year-old actor has previously said he will always stand with Israel and the Jews.

In May, a group of pro-Palestinian students walked out of Duke University's graduation ceremony to protest Seinfeld's appearance as a pro-Israel guest speaker.

A month later, Seinfeld's live show in Australia was interrupted by anti-Israel hecklers, which he dismissed with a joke.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we have a genius. He solved the Middle East problem!” Seinfeld said.

Seinfeld will likely be in action again during the NLCS when the Amazins take on the Dodgers or Padres on a trip to the World Series.
