Jesse James Decker and Eric Decker Discuss Their Strong Marriage
Jesse James Decker and her husband, Eric Decker, attribute the strength of their marriage to a shared value system. In a recent chat, they reflected on how their experience filming the latest season of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” enriched their relationship.
Jesse commented, “After everything, I think we had one of the best nights we’ve ever had together.” She recounted a memorable layover in London where they enjoyed dinner and shared a quiet moment in bed, feeling deeply connected. “It was just really special,” she shared.
They faced challenges together while filming, which Jesse believes brought them closer. “Going through tough times like that… it really does strengthen the bond,” she noted gratefully.
Having been married for about 15 years, the couple shares four children: Eric “Bubby,” 10; Forest, 7; and Denver, 1. Eric humorously suggested that their success in marriage was perhaps linked to him living in Nashville part-time.
He elaborated, “I think we’re rooted in a solid value system with our kids,” referring to the supportive community that raises their family. He emphasized the importance of being on the same page regarding various life aspects.
Jesse added, “I think we just view the world similarly. It’s about being aligned on how we raise our kids, deal with finances, and everything else.” Both noted that their appearance on the show was one of the toughest yet most rewarding experiences they’ve had.
They found strength in knowing they could communicate without words during the challenges, sending signals of support to one another. Eric expressed admiration for Jesse’s resilience in the intense environment of the show, highlighting the grit and determination she displayed.
After filming, both felt a renewed appreciation for the military. Jesse stated her gratitude has deepened, remarking, “Seeing what these service members do for our country makes you reflect on your own challenges.” Eric echoed her sentiment, noting that experiencing tough conditions made him grateful for their everyday comforts.
The current season also features personalities like “Sister Wives” star Cody Brown and reality stars from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” “Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test” premiered on September 25th on Fox.
