The New York Jets' attempt to salvage another season has resulted in another major shake-up.
General manager Joe Douglas was reportedly fired on Tuesday, halfway through his sixth season. ESPN first reported the decision.
The news comes after another disappointing loss for the Jets, this time at home to the Indianapolis Colts by one point on Sunday. The team's frustration increased after a crushing 31-6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Tuesday's revamp was the latest attempt by owner Woody Johnson and others to reboot what they believed was a Super Bowl-bound team. Head coach Robert Saleh was fired last month after just five games into the season, but the Jets went 1-5 with defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich taking over as interim head coach.
Offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, once considered a centerpiece in the acquisition of Aaron Rodgers, was also stripped of play-calling duties and handed the reins to passing game coordinator Todd Downing.
