Jets, Giants captured their 2024 misery perfectly

This part of this column is for you, the Jets fans, and the Giants fans who watched all of this with a cold, dispassionate eye from 30,000 feet and decided it was the wisest choice. The point of action is to cheer, cheer, cheer until the home team loses, loses, loses, loses again, loses every week, every game, and locks all the soccer balls in the closet.

To you I say: Congratulations.

To you I say: Well done. The Jets terrorized you for much of the game and made you wait another 4 minutes and 55 seconds before suffering a hard-earned loss. The Giants gave you fear when you finally realized that the Saints were as scary a football team as they were. All they had to do was easily knock out a 35-yarder between the uprights. Then you too could have had free football.
