However, there is no doubt that 32-year-old Adams can still play.
He totaled 85 catches for 1,063 yards (the sixth time since 2018, clearing 1,000 yards), and played three games with the Raiders and 11 with the Jets with seven touchdowns last season.
However, the Jets may just rent Adams on a half-season rental, accepting the sinking cost to replace a third-round pick (73 overall) in the 2025 draft.
General Manager Darren Moogie said last Tuesday that the Jets “have a plan” to resolve Adams' “problems.”
Free agent spending will open on March 10th, so plans could be resolved within the next week.
