The Jets will be bringing in an experienced backup QB for next season.
Tyrod Taylor has agreed to terms with Gang Green to become the backup to veteran signal caller Aaron Rodgers. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported late Monday night.
The move means Taylor won’t have to travel far to suit up with his next team after spending the past two seasons with the Giants.
Taylor played in 11 games with Big Blue last season and started five games in 2023, throwing for 1,341 innings and scoring five touchdowns.
The addition of Taylor gives the Jets a more experienced backup, helping them avoid the dangerous situation last season when Aaron Rodgers went down with an injury in the first game of the season, forcing them to rely on Zach Wilson. Helpful.
